I just spent the day with my wife in beautiful Atlantic City, New Jersey, in the USA.
Atlantic City often hosts many world famous comedians and singers. We saw a comic tonight and laughed a bunch while enjoying a nice meal overlooking the ocean. Cool day.
I returned to see a little business boost. The cool part about my growth? I grew business passively through this channel as I was offline for 8 hours straight today. Way cool.
I feel grateful for the growth but also know I had to open my mind to see this success. In truth, I made big changes to my blogging campaign about 1-2 months ago and then stepped it up more and made a huge change within the past month. I had to open my mind to make this huge change, because if you close your mind you never change, plowing forward like a fool, blind to opportunity, being fixed in your ways.
All blogging success and happiness finds open-minded bloggers. All blogging failure finds closed-minded, rigid bloggers who never blog from a flexible, forward thinking, open energy.
Changes with Open-Mindedness
Among other changes I made recently; I devote almost all of my blogging energy to guest posting because it feels fun, easy and I felt an intuitive nudge to guest post after opening my mind. I never feel the nudge if I close my mind but since I am open, I could see this is the fun, easy, freeing way for me to take now.
I also stopped doing live broadcasts because I noted I was heavily attached to people watching my videos. Attachment = fear = not a good energy for being successful online.
Ditto for ceasing my blog commenting and social sharing tribes. I stopped having fun doing each long ago. But I had to open my mind to see and feel these honest emotions.
Too many bloggers close their minds, struggle and never change, being rigid and fixed in their thinking. As Einstein said, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Honesty Opens the Door
I had to own I had some serious problems with my blogging campaign that needed big league changing on my part. If you ignore problems you see problems grow in your blogging life. Being closed minded is like an ostrich sticking its head in the sand; how can you see anything if you stick your head under the sand?
But if you are straight with yourself it gets easier to own your mistakes, to open up your mind and to see solutions you had ignored in the past because you were closed-minded and rigid.
How Can You Do Things Differently?
Observe your blog in the light of truth. How can you blog differently? What mental blocks do you need to face, own, feel and dissolve to open your mind?
The split second you open your mind you see yourself, your blog and your energy truthfully. This is the starting point in doing things differently and more successfully.
I was way too attached to active income so being open to different ideas nudged me to begin creating more passive income and traffic through guest posts. I find guest posting to be easy too. Easy, plus fun, equals a win because you become prolific and gain steady exposure doing what you love doing. Even being offline for 8 hours I still published 5 posts today and it is only 10:30 PM. I am good for a few more, before midnight.
