Do you fear the blogging competition?
I have a better way to frame blogging.
How about removing the fear of competition and replacing with the abundance of co-creation?
We are all one. We are all working together to benefit everybody.
If you try to go against competition, you make your job tough. But if you co-create with fellow bloggers, your job becomes easier. Why? Force negates success. Power attracts success.
If you fear someone taking your blog traffic or profits you waste energy trying to save your blog while going against other bloggers. But if you co-create with other bloggers, you tap into abundance by working with and for other bloggers. Abundance is real. Competition is an illusion.
Every single day, as I move genuinely deeper into a co-creating, non-competitive blogging mindset, I have more fun blogging. Plus I see how it gets easier to succeed if you make your entire day about caring for other bloggers, helping other bloggers and giving no thought to trying to get anything from these bonds.
Follow these tips to turn blogging competition into co-creators.
Guest Post on Blogs
Muhammad generously invited me to guest post on his blog.
I gladly wrote this post for him and his readers. But I win too. I see greater exposure. Win-win! We both win. We both co-create to help each other out. Sounds sweet, right?
Guest post on blogs. Co-create with fellow bloggers who allow you to publish content on their blogs. Muhammad gets passive blogging traffic. I get increased exposure. We both benefit from a co-creation. Such is the power of abundance, love and harmony.
Open Your Blog to Guest Posting
I am currently guest posting on other blogs so with this heavy focus, I cannot open my blog to guest posting now. But I opened my blog to guest posting and received many guesties in the past.
Open your blog to guest posting. Co-create ample sweet opportunities for both blogging parties. Accepting guest posts moves you from a self-centered, inward-focused mindset to an abundant, generous mindset. Gain passive traffic and help other bloggers grow their businesses. Win-win, once again.
Mention Bloggers on Your Blog
I have mentioned hundreds of bloggers on Blogging From Paradise.
I see my blog as a platform for co-promoting and helping other bloggers in addition to helping myself.
Featuring bloggers on your blog leads to harmonious co-creations. You create and publish a piece of content that influences readers to meet and greet bloggers you mention on your blog.
Interview bloggers or just mention them via quick features. Help buddies to become connected, drive traffic to blogs other than your own and to engage in future sweet, prospering co-creation opportunities.
Mention Bloggers through Your Social Media
Retweet fellow bloggers. Facebook Share other blogger’s posts. Mention other bloggers on LinkedIn.
Every piece of social media content you publish serves as a creation. Noting other bloggers on social instantly makes these updates co-creations, which is really cool, if you think about it.
Use your social media streams for the good of everybody. Promote yourself liberally but promote other bloggers just as much as you promote yourself. Generous bloggers become popular bloggers. Popular bloggers become successful bloggers.
Bonus Tip: Avoid Competitive Practices
Sometimes, bloggers mention trying to steal other blogger’s traffic, or trying to eat into their profits. Bad idea. We live in abundance. No shortage of anything exists. But the split second you try to take something from another blogger your fear of competition moves you down the energetic scale, aligning you with struggle, failure, fighting, and poverty.
Never engage in competitive practices. Going against is a waste of time. Work with and for other bloggers to accelerate your blogging success.
Why try to go against 10 or 100 bloggers when you can work with 10 or 100 bloggers and multiply your success exponentially?
Do not compete.
