When people give you their email addresses, it basically means that you have a daily opportunity to convince them to do what you want, whether it’s reading your latest blog post or buying your ebook.
So how can you get your readers’ email addresses?
Before Everything Else…
Before you do the steps outlined below, you need to first make sure that your WordPress site is connected to a plugin called Jetpack.
If it isn’t yet, connecting Jetpack to your website is very easy. Log into WordPress and go to “Plugins” in the left-hand sidebar. Click “Add New” and search for “Jetpack.” Look for the one made by Automattic. Click “Install”, “Activate”, and you’re good to go.
How to Add a Subscribe Button to WordPress Blog: 4 Simple Steps
Step #1: Log into your WordPress site. Hover your mouse over “Appearance,” and click “Widgets.”
Step #2: Look for “Blog Subscriptions (Jetpack).” When you click it, you will get three options: Sidebar, Content Bottom 1, and Content Bottom 2.
Choose where you want to place the subscription button. If you’re not happy with your choice, you can always go back and change it later.
Step #3: Click “Add Widget.” After that, you should see “Blog Subscription (Jetpack)” added to the Sidebar column to the right of your screen.
In this image, the subscription button appears right below “Meta”. If you want to position it in the upper part of your sidebar, just drag and drop it and place it in your preferred position.
Step #4: If you want to change the details of the button, just click on it and you should see the following:
Here, you can change the button’s title, description, the text on the button itself, and others.
And you’re done! You should now see the subscription button on your website.
